Problems with my mic

So i a few weeks ago I got this headset it's not very expensive (like £10) but it's got great reviews and people recommended it to me. Anyway it's been completely fine until today, my audio quality is still great but the mic has been giving out crackles and i sound very quiet. I really don't want to buy a new mic so is there any way i can fix this? I'll be trying to find the one i brought after i post this btw.

Sounds like the mic has broken out on you, not being harsh but it's best to spend more to save you in the long run, take a look in some pc magazines at your local shop.

I picked up a set of turtle beaches that should cost £150 for only £80 on a special deal.

Check around see what there is :)
