Wet clothing

Recommended Posts

I'm really looking forward to the standalone release but one thing I really want more of is the factor of surviving against the environment. I'd like it to be hard to find enough supplies to constantly stay warm and dry and fed. I dont know if its been asked or suggested before (I searched and dint find anything) but it could be instesting to make your clothing get wet when it rains and then you have to worry about getting ill and carrying spare clothes for starters. Other suggestions might be things like making sure your drinking water is safe to drink with water purification tablets and stuff like that.

That is basically what will kind of happen. There will be disease and of course being out in the cold weather to long will affect health/temperature.

As for asthetic wet clothing. Not needed. 'Much ado over nothing'

Just darken clothing color and add some drip effect. It seems like a tiny add on to me. But hypothermia is like the main way people die out in the wilderness. Getting your clothing wet while in the cold should be worse than running around naked in the snow. I mean disease is one thing but freezing to death because you got your feet wet is a nice and frightening touch. It'd make running around in the rain a risky business. I like the idea and think it'd be a relativity simple addition. Hell it could be added into the disease system SA will have. It'd force you to build a fire to get warm or freeze.
