As a fresh spawn on a new server, how long does it take you to gear up?

I haven't been playing that long so haven't been able to get some of the better gear yet. The 3-4 times i've ventured north, i made it to NWAF. First time, didn't find anything in the barracks and as i was making my way to the other side, hacker spawned the server for a death match. Second time, barracks must have already been looted and a few minutes later, insta death by hacker. Each time i have made it to where the really good gear spawns, i've been hacker killed. Guess i'm just unlucky. But normally how long does it take you to regear up after a death?

I have played on one server, i ran for 25 mins across the map and ended up in what i think was elektro. I found a czech backpack and mt dew and then went to the shop where i found a tent and lee enfield. Then someone looted my tent and i was lying inside, so i killed him and got his as50.

head to a main town and you should have basics in about 20 mins tops

It depends. Chernarus has kinda died off for me, in terms of the mod, and so I play on Taviana mainly now.

It takes me a little longer on there to get up to a respectable standard of loot (basic navigation and good stash of food & drink) but in Chernarus, I found myself to get to this point within 20-25 minutes of gameplay.

on chernarus , it depends where you spawn.

if south west (between cherno and kamenka) i'll head for komorovo to the industrial building and get an axe to deal with the zeds , then to cherno to the supermarket/firestation = 20 mins

if i spawn on the eastern coast (three valleys or there abouts) , i'll head for the barn complex in three valleys , then to rog (castle) as i often find pistols there = 25-30 mins

spawning in the middle (cherno/elektro) , i'll rush in to the high risk/reward cities as who cares about dying when you've nothing to lose = 10 mins

Gear up ?, It takes until i find my first weapon, then i'm all set, so maybe 5 minutes.

I always just jog to one of the major cities after spawning, like everyone else says 30 minutes is adequate.

Depends on the map. I play Namalsk and lingor. I can get a pretty badass set up DMR//M14 aim plus most of the essentials in 30 minutes to an hour.

I spawned yesterday, 5minutes later, I had an M16A2. It's all about luck. It was in Cherno.
