tehredundant 0 Posted January 8, 2013 Before everyone starts blasting me, yes I've searched through forums, yes I've googled. To no avail. Seems like anyone who had this problem doesn't have a fix, so I'm just HOPING, REALLY Hoping someone could help me out here. So, I've been playing DayZ on this PC for a month now, and suddenly, tried to connect to a server since last night, pass through lobby, and whilst loading for about a minute or two, it will show "Connection lost to host" OR no message received. t his happens constantly and I can never seem to get past it! It's really doing my head in coz I just wanna play. Anyways, Ive tried firewall rules, removing antivirus, disable firewall, re-installing BattleEye, re-installing Arma/OA, clearing registries, re-installing my wireless. I figured that my net can't be the issue as I can play Battlefield 3 just fine, and/or surf the interweb fine. So............... IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS, PLEASE PLEASE, any help is greatly appreciated!
xxblink 66 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) You ever run a ping while you're loading to see what kind of packet loss you're getting? Connection lost is either a) the server restarting or second, you losing your connection to the server, either through the server fault or your own internet. Run a continuous ping while you're loading and see what it does. Also, make sure you are NOT loading servers on dayz commander at the same time as a flood to your internet, causing a drop, is quite common with dayz commander. tehredundant 0 Posted January 8, 2013 Yeah I have ran that ping while loading method, and I dont flood my net whilst loading to server on DayZ... :< AM I DOOMED?!
mdmonnik@deakin.edu.au 139 Posted January 8, 2013 on Dayz commander turn 'max connections' down to 5-10.

Allie (DayZ) 97 Posted January 8, 2013 I found out that when my Linux Box is downloading smut, i can not connect to any DayZ server, even if i limit the download to the linux box. The only way for me to connect to a server and not getting the "no message receive" is to shut down the downloads on the linuxbox. It is weird, and i don't have any idea why, but it is, so only option for me is to stop downloading connect to server and restart the downloads again. xxblink 66 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) That isn't weird, it's normal. Connecting to DayZ takes a LOT of bandwidth. If you're internet isn't great (speed or quality), you can't multi-task on your internet when you're connecting to a server. mdmonnik@deakin.edu.au 139 Posted January 9, 2013 Make sure you have the same version (BETA) as arma, and DayZ. If you continue to have problems I will teamviewer in see if I can help you. Also the biggest factor is your router/sync speed.Do a pingtest.com (i think) and tell me what you get. Also, does your whole internet cut out or only the dayz connection?
