Banned for teleporting trying to grab a flare

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the game, only started playing couple days ago and been doing it with a rl friend. We are still in the learning phase as you'd expect and just now venturing deep into Chernarus.

We went towards Rog, near Kamyshovo, in the hopes of finding a chopper so we could give it a try. We then reached the castle remains, with no chopper spawn unfortunately, and started the scaveging process.

Got inside the tower next to the arch entrance, my friend leading the way with his flashlight since it was night time (happened couple hours ago), reaching the top and deploying a flare to light up the surroundings so I could loot away.

Once I was done looting my friend was already at the bottom of the tower, I then decided to grab the flare so I could see anything on the way down, and at doing so I got immediately banned from the server with the reason "teleporting".

After, he noticed that the flare he had popped previously on the roof had misteriously dropped all the way down to the bottom floor. So here we are thinking that for some reason when he popped his flare, it actually fell all the way down and when I tried to grab it I was somehow teleported into the bottom floor with it which got me banned for teleporting.

If this is infact what happened, and I see no other reason for it, it needs fixing asap. I for one won't be attempting to grab any flares or lights or anything of the sort ever again at the risk of getting banned.

The odd part about this is that I joined another server right away and I was still at the top of the tower, weird.

I'm sad about this because I was enjoying playing on that server. Is it possible to lift my ban?

Nope.

Not how it works buddy. A teleport from the top of a building to the bottom wouldn't show up in the logs. You must've been caught teleporting from one location to the other. Wierd how I've been playing for a very long time and have never been magically teleported by a flare.. I want magical teleporting flares!

I see no other explanation for it, how do you explain that my friend saw the flare on the bottom floor immediately after I was banned?

It is also weird you think that because it has never happened to you, it does not happen at all.

As you can verify, if something does not happen to you does not imply that it does not happen at all.

Grabbing flares that have been ignited (or similar) causes a log in setPos.log containing "shot" or "Shot", it is harmless and shouldn't be banned for. However, Gotcha anti-hack bans for the latter one still, you'll have to wait untill they fixed that.

Should take contact with the server owned (Assuming it's a private hive if you could log on another server) and talk with him about it.

Thanks for the replies guys, on the server list it says "managed by casual-play.de and hosted by spielviel.de", so I'm guessing I need to go over to casual-play.de and try to contact an admin. The only problem is I don't speak nor understand german :( but I'll try my best.

So, I went over to casual-play,de, registered and tried to make a thread appealing for a ban lift. The thread is now supposedly waiting to be review and approved to be placed on the boards, but I have just now noticed that there isn't a single thread open on their forums :huh:, not sure they even use those forums at all.
