SVD : rare and usefull sniper or just good for embellish my fireplace??

I often see it on dayz weapon's topics, but I never see it and use it....

What do you think about? Better than DMR?

rare ammo, and not really that much of a better rifle

but does indeed look so much better with a ghillie suit

and also does help determining the distance to the target

Easier for ranging in my opinion, the ballistics in game for the SVD are pretty damn close to the real weapon, ive been able to fire the SVD on a exercise whilst in the British Army, they (WL RP, Polish Army) tested our kit and we got busy with theirs. Its good but occasionally shows its age. In game however, for rapid acquisition shots, it does show its worth as you just bracket the target with the PSO and it gives you a range indication, quick and easy.

Got to agree it does look the poodles pods when dripping with camo though.
