Login to server and gear is gone and I have respawned

Was on a night time non-hive (public) server with about 4 other players on and in the back of beyond. I logout to get a cuppa from downstairs and login again and it takes ages to get character info or something so I logon to another server and I end up reset in Kamarovo.

Is there anyway I can look at logs to find out what happened?

I just had the same issue. I only use the non-private servers, but I logged off for an hour and back in to the same server and all my gear is gone?!?! WTF, I've spent ages to get stocked up.
