I don't know why everyone's talking about hackers SO much, but I'm playing since August and saw one or two cases of hacking at ALL.

You should read some announcements and wait for the standalone like everyone.

I'm just like you. Haven't played since August and when I logged back in I was happy to see I still had some solid equipment from last time I logged on. I'm on top of a building on the outskirts of Cherno and I'm kind of scared to get down, but other than that..haha. Day 125. I'm happy I came back.

If u go for private hives i think the game is close as what it should be.

I did come back after 2 months again (after getting a refund on the warz :D).

And had no hacker / duping / server hopping problems anymore and those were the main reasons i stopped playing.

So again loads of fun.

I hadn't played since October? due to my account/character being infected by some hacker BS. Tried to fix it and during a test run I came across a hacker in Stary Sobor who after a teleport chase & two clips from my M4 which did nothing to him..... He dropped a box of every item & weapon at my feet and disappeared!

So I downloaded the Taviana map and my account/character is ok :) I love this map even if it is a little glitchy in spots.

If you haven't tried em yet I'd highly recommend you giving the extra maps a go. I'm in awe of being able to download these games for free and the amount of playing time they give you :)

Hackers ( Scripters) are there, you will be killed by nobody, music will be played at your Death, or your transported to a place on the Map and slaughtered, those sort of fun things. I for one can't understand what entertainment they would get out of doing it.

I also havent played for a while, dayz commander fucked up all my dayz files so i couldnt play, was too lazy to reinstall up until now because i feel i experienced all the game had to offer, im hoping there is more to do than back in september. And for the person saying she/he was playing for months and only encountered 2 hackers must have played on extremely low populated servers and stayed out in the wilderness, i used to encounter them on at least a weekly basis. Majority of the high end gear you scavenge off a corpse was hacked.
