josh1803 2 Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) I am going to start up a new server and I was wondering if anyone would join.I was thinking of putting 150 vehicles (or maybe more). Supply drops which have military grade weapons. Events to win good gear which would be hard to find. A custom starting loadout. Friendly admins.I would charge £2 per month for whitelist, this will keep out hackers and make an income to support the server. This could go down when there are more members.For the first 2 weeks I will make membership free so people can get to know the server. mrbravo66 26 Posted January 6, 2013 I think some people would not like to pay a fee to play on a server, it is very cheap, but some people might not want to, although I would try help you with manageing the server and being a admin and such, but if you want it then I can try to help you, also I think loot table should be made so that a AK and a lee Enfield are a luxury on your server and military guns a honour to use, and pistols a average gun in the game but mainly Makarovs, colts and revolvers.Tell me what you think and respond soon :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

{GBYC} EvilBunny 61 Posted January 29, 2013 tbh i think you might be appraoching this all wrong... there are over 5000 servers out there at the moment... 99.9% require no financial input to play on. so while anyone with logic can agree that it is a modest whitelisting fee you would sit at 0 ppl mate. too many free options out there to warrent ppl paying for it. we have 2 servers costing me over £100 per month... I have been running servers at my own cost for a while and its repaid in many many ways. I have real loyal players on the server and people always willing to give me honest oppinions and some people have even asked me in emails if there is a way they can donate. that though is because they really enjoy themselves and understand stuff in life aint free. By starting the converstation asking for money though i think you will find it a non starter.
