Change the sight meter back to the way it was!

in the new update (1.7.1) the sight meter was changed so that zombies could see you easier, and its horrible, i was a good 400 meters away from a barn crouch walking with my friend when a zombie spotted us through a hill, at first we thought "oh, how did he see us?" so we just lead it away from the barn and shot it with a Winchester, next we move towards the barn again and the same happens but a whole hoard of at least 15 ( a lot of zombies to be around a barn ) com after us, we came very close to death after fighting about 30 zombies all because of this update, we cannot go within 100m of anything even crawling without being seen by a few of them.

PLEASE! revert back to the old sight meter.

i know its still Alpha and im fine with you making this mistake but please fix it.

New detection is far more better than it was - makes challenge!

But there is obvious problem with LOS - why zombie can see at 500m and far with his head spinning from sky to ground? I mean, hoppers. And more creepy is crawlers - they see you FROM TALL GRASS, even player with max view distance, RMB pressed or binoculars cannot do such thing.

Maybe this type of ultra-hardcore detection must be left unchanged on "military" zombies. Civilians should be more stupid and less aware of survivors.

And they running even faster? WTF, all Cherno is infected olimpian runners?

We were running in the woods, quite out of sight of a town and hundreds of meters away too, suddenly two zombies start running towards us from the town. We open up fire on them, again at a very safe distance from town as to not disturb them, and we suddenly get 15 more zombies to deal with.

I feel the increase in perception was a tad too much, especially since they've gone from blind and deaf to supernatural senses.

Who cares the game is getting shitty every update, The developers cant understand the difference between hard for the sake of hard and developing an actual sense of realism. Probably too busy cornholing each other

I don't agree with that though, I think every update is getting better and better. I don't understand why you'd get so overly hostile.

He just needs input, in a reasonable format, about the changes. This is still an alpha, he's still testing things out.

While I don't agree with this post or his choice of language. I think he does make a good point of "the difference between hard for the sake of hard and developing an actual sense of realism.".

There is no reason to make the zoms ridiculously perceptive and can run crazy fast. Their perception should be worse than humans (much worse) not better. As for running, I'm fine with them running, but what irritates me is how they don't run straight towards you, but instead zig zag or running in circles while approaching you. They are turning at an angle way too large for how much a human runner (much less a zombie) could turn at that speed. It looks ridiculous and makes them impossible to shoot.

the suggestion to create zombie "levels" is great!

zombie run too fast already, they just cant run faster its impossible because of human body limitations...
