Can I run DayZ on my PC?

Recommended Posts

I don't have a high horse computer like most of you but I was curious if i can run DayZ on my PC smoothly? ( I don't care about having very low graphics)

Specs-

AMD Athlon™ II X3 445 Processor

3.1 GHz

8.2 GB RAM

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (build 7600), 64-bit

AMD Radeon HD 6450 - (Yes it's cheap I know but it runs other games okay)

211.6 GB Disk Space

I've went to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com and it just about passes the minimum requirements.

So? Can I run the game on low/med settings if needed?

IIRC Arma2(including DayZ) is rather CPU dependent. I play DayZ with no AA on 1920x1080 using AMD Phenom II x4 955(3.2gb) 4gb DDR2 RAM and a GTX 460 768mb. You may run DayZ but may be unhappy at certain moments. Barely passing the canyorunit is like saying I got a D+ on the BAR exam, will I be a good lawyer. Its possible, but chances are its going to be a bumpy ass ride.

Yeah I second the one above, I doubt it'd run smoothly at all while playing, maybe 25fps running around then dropping in cities on the lowest graphics.
