just lost all my gear

Havent played this game for 4 months. Played earlier today with all my old gear.

Found a jeep with a IR-MARK STROBE or something that I picked up because I thought it maybe was a new thing in the game. After that I found alot of vehicles I did not recognize and thought this must be hacked stuff and I dropped the IR-MARKER after I searched for it on the forum and here was nothing about it.

Now I joined a server that said somehting DAYZAustria(KLL) 200vechicle+survivor startinggear or something. Now I started fresh on the beach day 0 with no gear.

Immidietly I dosconnected and tried another server but still day 0 and all my stuff is gone....

Why did my stuff dissapear? Because I picked up a potential hacked item or was it that server named 200vehicle+survivor startergear that did something to me?

Thought this buggy shit with stuff dissapereng would have been corrected now after such a long time...

They are all private hives you have visit.

It is hard to find a "official" hive server these days, most are private hive servers.

How do I know if a server is official hive?

So if I connect to a official hive server my stuff will be back? I guess the private hive servers does not save my gear to the official hive?

Then the first server I was on where I found the IR-MARKER must have been a official hive server because I had all my old stuff on that one? And the other 2 servers I tested after must have been private hive servers then?

YES! I found an official hive server and all my stuff is still there!!!

Why do they have private hive servers? Can imagine if you are some pro guys just playing on one server. But if you are noob and joins and dont remember the server all your stuff is gone if you connect to another server.

Or, you could just tick the "Hide unoffical" box in DZC or Sixlauncher
