"Cannot connect to remote server"

When i try to use any of the launchers i will get a notification message stating that you "Cannot connect to remote servers." I know this has to do with firewall restrictions and that but i have tried evrything and I just cant get it to work. If you could give me any suggestions on how to fix this it would be really appreciated.
