Bad Serial Code in setup

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I've been having problems.

Today I bought Arma 2 and Arma 2: operation arrowhead on steam for 17.99

I downloaded both, followed the installation process and everything.

The problem is, whenever I try to join a DayZ server, it says "Bad serial code given in setup".

I have tried so many things to try and fix this but nothing is working.

And it's been 5 hours and it's pretty frustrating, does anybody have a fix that actually works?

You have to first launch Arma 2 and Arma 2:OA on steam first.
