Dayz Wait for host/play withSIX

ok here's what happened. i got arma2, arma 2 OA, and installed Dayz this morning. i played it in the morning no problem. i log for literally 5 minutes, come back and it freezes on Wait for host. so i wait, and wait, and wait, no dice. i look at some trouble shooting video and guides and threads, but nothing worked. i reinstalled all the programs, i tried DayzCommander, i tried manuel. NOTHING WORKED. But my friend is loggin in and playing just fine. the other problem is in the six updater (the new play withSIX btw) when i click on a server to join it says that i need an update, but doesnt six update automatically? i don't know what to try next. i just got it this morning and i really wanna play :( help me please Thank you!!
