Need help with installing Arma 2

hey guys, ive been having all sorts of problems with this game (battleye initialization, wrong CD key, pixel shader problem) so ill start with battleye. I downloaded the game on steam and the installation went fine, but when i go to play operation arrowhead and join a day z server i get this "battleye initialization failed" message. ive tried everything, ive downloaded battleye like 10 times. but the problem is my arma 2 operation arrowhead DOESNT HAVE A BATTLEYE FOLDER so please dont suggest i download it from the site. ive tried making my own folder and naming it battleye but doesnt work. i have downloaded this game on 2 computers and neither has the battleye folder in Arma 2: OA. i am so lost please help me i bought this yesterday and have been trying to get it working for 5 hours. also im not too tech savvy so ease up on the technical jargon. lol i know basic things though. please help guys thanks!

did you run both arma games before trying dayz?

yeah i have tried everything mentioned in these forums. is there no one else with the same problem? the arma 2 OA has no battleye folder.. it cant be just me
