New Player considering DayZ, what are your opinions?

This post appears a bit biased but he does have some good points. The developing team isn't the greatest (to say the least). There are a TON of hackers. I know there is the argument where "It's not a hacker! You just suck!"... but no they really are hackers. I'd say a good 40% of people i've died from were hackers. The gameplay does get a bit dull. There isn't much to do once you have a sizable inventory stash (global inventory: allows transfer of items to other characters and servers) except pvp.. which gets old too. Micro-transactions are pretty dumb but IMO after you buy something with real money you lose it quickly enough anyway from some bandit team, so what's the point? Overall I wouldn't recommend getting it until it's had more time to develop (if it even does).

edit: spawn time is 1 hour after death - not 4. Hammer takes 3-4 hits in the head to kill a Zombie or a player. There IS one tiny map.

Oh, when I made the poor decision to buy this game it took 4 hours. And for me it took 6 shots, but whatever :P.

Also I have some emotional loathing against them due to a personal experience with mod abuse from them as well, so yes, I am a bit biased.
