Knocking people out

I think there should be better ways to knock people out than shoot them in the chest with DMR.Maybe give the crossbow a better use?like poison tipped bolts maybe tipped with a drug to knock you out?I sorta play as a pacifist and try not to kill on sight(unless its a bandit),so usually when a survivor shoots me I shoot them in the chest(or accidently kill them :P) and help bandage them(also this is were a drugged crossbow bolt would be useful if you helped someone but didn't trust them)you shoot them with a drugged dart they pass out and you avoid killing them,and they don't bleed to death.tell me what you think...but don't flame

Rather than incorporated into the crossbow how about stuffing painkillers in meat and leaving it on the road for some to pick up and eat, then they fall over to the hourglass timer.

i like the dart idea... cus it more realistic... when in the real world you wouldnt pick up a piece of meat on the side of the road, you would be suspicious.

Let me know a time when you are trying to run across the map and your low on supplies and you cant find live stock anywhere.. When you cross a road steak is on the ground as if it fell out of a backpack 8 out of 10 will inventory it.

It could be some other food. Or you just have to be sneaky with it. I might not pick up a piece of meat just laying by itself but I would certainly take things out of a pack that was just laying there un attended. I could see some one grabbing the meat that way.

Or even better stalk someone and remove items from their backpack, poison and return into their pack watch the magic happen from a distance after you evade.
