Fated Legacy 0 Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) Just tried playing Dayz again today after a long break, and it seems there was some issue with the latest patch. Never had a problem before, but now i'm have this constant stuttering lag, and it's really bad when I try to move. Everything lags as well, zombies, other players. Tried 5 different servers, same thing on all of them. As you can seem from my comp specs below, my computer is not/should not be the issue.Intel Core i7 2600k @3.4GHz16GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti50 mbps internet connectionThe only thing I can think of that is different is that i'm running Windows 8 now.Edit: And i can't believe i spelt few as view in the topic title. Doh /facepalm. Edited December 30, 2012 by Fated Legacy

fully 51 Posted December 30, 2012 Hard drive will give you that effect as well. You could try a ramdisk - see if that fixes it.Or go SSD =)
Fated Legacy 0 Posted December 31, 2012 HDD shouldn't be the issue either, I built this comp myself like 7 months ago. Never had any problems with it.
Mr Scavers 0 Posted December 31, 2012 I fixed this myself earlier today by going to ArmA 2 OA and ArmA 2's .exe files and set them both to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Then, I went to my documents folder, and opened the ArmA 2 folder where ArmA2.cfg and ArmA2OA.cfg are, and changed these values:GPU_MaxFramesAhead GPU_DetectedFramesAheadto be =1I think that just setting the win7 compatibility mode will work, but I did both before trying just one or the other. I now have absolutely no problems playing, even in maxed out settings. I really hope this works for you.
