Own Arma 2 non-steam DVD, can I buy Operation arrowhead on Steam?

Hi guys, new here, looking forward to play this mod. But sorry for the post but couldn't not find a topic here. I already have the Arma2 but is a physical copy non steam. If i purchase the Operation arrowhead on steam, will the mod work? I don't know if the game will install properly since steam use different folder.

Yes probably, you can install sixlauncher and from there tell sixlauncher where both games are located so it can install dayz correctly, they are not installed in the same folder even if you buy it from steam so you should be fine ^^

8 pounds ?! They are selling it for 8 pounds ?!!! It is a bargain at 5 times the price - which is what I paid for mine back in the day.

ok what about this I got both on disc right downloaded dayz commander right worked fine couple months later I downloaded steam then I played TF2 on that for a couple months but when I went back to play dayz it keeps  launching steam an taking me to the store 2 buy operation arrowhead any one got any ideas?
