Stay awhile and listen,

So my friends and I recently bought arma 2 off of steam specifically for DayZ, We all installed it and started playing together and it was great. However, I was getting lag while none of my friends were even though I have a better computer than most of them. What happens is I will be playing and my latency and fps are fine but every 20 seconds or so I will get a spike where everything freezes and I cant do anything for about 2-3 seconds. It does not necessarily make the game unplayable but it's certainly infuriating. I have tried messing around with the in-game options, I have restarted everything multiple times, I run everything as admin, I have tried updating the six-launcher but nothing works. I've also scoured the forums looking for an answer but nothing has seemed to work. The only thing that differentiates my computer from my friends' significantly is that I'm running Windows 7 32-bit while they have 64-bit. Could this be the source of the problem?

If not any other input would be greatly appreciated.
