Friend can't join any DayZ server 'BattleEye: client not responding'

Recommended Posts

Hello

Lately, my friend is having trouble joining any DayZ server. Everytime he joins a server, he gets kicked while loading in with the message: 'BattleEye: Client not responding'

He has googeled everywhere and has tried everything and I'd like him to stop bitching, so I thought lets ask for some help here.

We haven't found anything that works so far, not on these forums, nowhere.

I wonder if anyone knows anything that could work.

I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

There are several threads here about it, but I don't know how well the search function works. The short story is that his router has probably ran out of connections. First, upgrade router firmware and test. If that doesn't help, turn off any bit-torrent clients he has running a few minutes before he connects. Same thing if for Dayz-commander/playwithsix. If he has browsed all the servers, that's 4-5000 connections right there. Usually this should time out after 3 minutes-ish but ymmv. If he has to wait 5 minutes, he has a crappy router.

Sometimes players must sit in the lobby, rather then join the game right away until he gets the message stating that BE is updated, and running. The very first time I tried to play DayZ - I'd join right away and BE wouldn't start up right, and I'd get kicked. After sitting in the lobby for a bit (had to do it several times because I was auto-kicked for idle) it stated that BE was updated, and running correctly....
