Why are people under the impression that everything Rocket adds has to realistic?

This is a videogame about survival in a zombie/infected filled world. I hear people crying that night is to dark but thats the trade off to force people to use their flashlights/chemlights/flares at night.....honestly if I could see the ground and towns at night why would I use any of those things? Everyone would just be running around all stealthy. This also puts people at risk who just want to go on servers were a low limit amount of people are on so they can farm high quality loot area's at night. Now with the new Zombie AI they have to use light or risk aggro and instant death. You want to be stealthy at night then find some NVG's.

Just b/c the game is on the Arma engine doesn't mean he's not gonna put in trade off's for gameplay purposes.

the game is trying to be as realistic as possible isnt it?

and a humans eyes at night are actually pretty good. imo it just seem to be effected by weather too much. on a clear night its pretty decent and playable. the other problem is when alot of players get home from work within a few hrs its pitch black on all my local servers it pretty poor. it really empties out the servers, leaving the ones left in almost guaranteed to have nvgs etc. and who wants to feed an nvg sniper rifle armed bandit? all this coupled with no spawn with a weapon, super aware zeds, night time is a no go instanly for majority of players. come onto uk servers past 10pm ish....they have about 10 players avg.

p.s are you saying that its been implemented to bring balance instead of realism? we all know hacking was rife and proly still is. if anythin this just gifts the hackers even more fun... plenty of players with litterally no chance of fighting back and darkness so dark u cant see ur own hands.....

This mod is not about realism. Realistic combat?

I was a soldier, it's fucking boring 99% of the time.

This mod is designed to have the authenticity required to model and produce some authentic emotional responses.

Reality has many concessions made against it in order to achieve this authenticity in the brief time a player is present in the world.
