SmokeyFTM 55 Posted December 27, 2012 if you go into task manager (ctrl alt del) click show processes from all users and set arma2oa priority to high, hopefully that might help
I3reeze 1 Posted December 28, 2012 Setting it to high priority didn't help any either. What would overclocking the GPU do for me? Seeing as heat can now be controlled, would overclocking the graphics card help at this point?
rocky46 16 Posted January 19, 2013 ^^ This@opHardware/Software problems like these are a pain in the ass to figure out. Could be any number of different possibilities as to what is causing the issue. It could be corrupt windows files, faulty video card, too much dust causing heat issues, the ram is failing, the hard drives could need a defrag, a conflicting software or maybe just bad luck.In cases like these I generally do a reformat and install a fresh copy of windows. If the problem persists then most likely it's a hardware issue. Even then I can't see dayz damaging your video card as Dayz is a CPU hog.it isnt this guys machine, i have the same problem except mine just shows the desktop and i can still hear whats goin on in game i can fix it by pressing [shift]+[numpad-] then type flush to reload arma 2's rendering but sometimes it causes my graphics card to lock itself into low performance mode (300mhz core/100mhz memory/600mhz shader) and the game the n runs like crap until i reboot my pc to fix it this is a serious problem caused by the new beta patch for arma 2 and needs to be fixed before it damages peoples hardware by crashing drivers all the time
Thorsblood 26 Posted January 29, 2013 I'm having a similar Issue just playing on the demo for arma 2 OA, after about 10-20 mins screen freeze's and a random effect, 1st time was just running around like a tard learning the game when it froze up, could hear the game and even move my cursor (which was now my pointer surrounded by a red doted box) and I also could not exit the game or do anything at all so i had to turn my PC of holding the power button.2nd time was learning how to drive lol, froze completely and had green line's all over the place like it was trying to go night vision or somthing, except they were solid neon green.3rd was flying the chopper, was the same as my 1st time...4th and last try was 1st mission, ended the same as 1st time...besides the almost guaranteed crashing i was running the game very smooth and for 10 mins at a time having a blast lol, any help would be awesome, unfortunately I terrible at knowing whats going on with PC's...may need *SUPER DUMBED DOWN* instructions :D
