Brand Noob to the Game

Hey all! I've spent the last two days downloading and installing everything (digital downloads, non-steam). I can play single player Arma 2 games (Arma 2, OA, BAF) but have yet to play DayZ. I started with DayZ Commander and thought I installed all of the latest patches. But then, suddenly, it keeps reporting Out Of Date for everything and temporarily disconnects me from the internet when I use it now. So I installed Play withSix and it seems I have to update everything again.

So, two days in and I'm yet to join a game. Any pointers on getting this thing to work correctly? I've followed everything I've found about this and I still can't seem to get it to work. =(

Use DayZ Commander and make sure you have the paths to the Arma II executables set correctly, it's much better than the crappy Six Launcher.

Whilst using commander use the option bar top right corner install/update and get all your content up to its current forms then try to join have arma 2 off whilst going through the updates then start it when they are finished
