Sorry I'm having fun arguing my current play style change the thread title!!

have you noticed the absence of me, the OP's argument about your playstyle? Why should I change the title when 'I' amd not arguing to you 'yet'?

I think the title is pretty articulate.

I'm disappointed.. Not in you, no, but the servers. You can go one having fun or "surviving" all you want, I just want some good servers that don't try to advertise me with so many vehicles or free giveaways like I'm some kind if noob.

I don't care how you play. I'd just like somewhere that lets me play how I want too.

I agree with your thread's sentiments. Now if we can all sign up to agree on what "survival" means well, all will perfect. Form an nice straight line.

I have come to the realisation that this is not about play style, yes I agree the whole server issue making things too easy etc.. But that was not my point. I too love the survival aspect and you slate me on my play style which is to use the means available to me within the game to survive to the best of my ability. If that means I stock up on weapons and build a base then so be it!

My point was that is how I play and I did no see the point of doing so on servers that are not secure from hackers and because SA is around the corner then I choose not to pour hour of game play in to my interpretation of surviving a post apocalyptic zombie world.

What do you want? All weapons tents vehicles removed so you can crawl around zombies eating cans of beans because that's your interpretation of surviving?

If this where to happen in the real world I pity those who do not live my play style, because I for one will kos for your can of beans end of story, and because within the game I can re spawn I will re equip my gear at my base and do it again because someone has to find the gear for your lazy play style.

I am sorry but it makes me angry that this has become about play style when it has nothing to actually do with it.. Read back I did not once say that I prefer servers like the ones being described, I simply stated the fact that after many months of playing I am now passing time by playing they so called easy servers because once again will say I do not see the point in playing the game how I play it when my work put in is pointless with SA and hackers.

Yes I will build my base in SA and yes I will camp and yes I will kos don't like it cry about it idk.

Wow looks like you saw a video of some survivors working together fighting zombies and because you can't recreate it you choose to vent your anger at the server types available. There is a reason why there are so any servers like that.. Ohh yeah they are full of players, it's what they want.

Go play 2017 come back and argue why those servers are wrong as well.

Players "want" it because they haven't got used to the idea that it becomes boring when they give you all the gear. They are too used to dying. Once they mill around for a few hours, they'll go back. But when they do, they don't have any servers to go to. Also, there are a lot of people who, like me, can't find a private hive that doesn't do this but doesn't want to join a public hive unless they have to. Playing on maps other than Chernarus, servers are pretty much all private hives.

Yes, the community wants it, but we need more servers that aren't like this because there is a section of the community who actually wants to play the game, seen? Right now, that's pretty impossible. The majority of the servers in question are all US servers too, and while most of the servers are probably in US, I can usually find DE and UK servers that actually run vanilla or have third person turned off. But there's a problem, because I can't expect a good connection from them.

I'm saying that the quality of this has gone down. Back in the old DayZ, you started with a bandage, painkillers, and a coyote backpack. Now people get enfields on startup. It's sickening to me how people can just take rewards and not care a bit about not getting them.

So instead of insulting me like a child, why don't you listen to what I have to say and understand that:

-I do not care if these servers exist, but right now they are waaaay too big in majority

-I do not care if people play like this, as long as I can play my way too, but I can't, because no or few good servers. Sure, I don't agree with it, but I can't force it upon them.

-We need more servers that appeals to the other side of the community. Seriously, it could be like 13 or less servers out of near 2,500 Chernarus servers, and it'd cover it. But practically all those are all about massive amounts of vehicles and starting gear.

How is this too much to ask? All I want to do is play, and play my way, and my way of playing is reasonable. I'm not entitled to servers sprouting up at my word of complaint, but I think I got quite a few beans from this so you can see atleast 1 server full wants this to happen.

Again, once more restated, I do believe these servers are wrong, but that's my belief. It doesn't matter. What does matter is I need a server to play on. I don't care how many of these custom loadout and vehicle servers there are so long as I have a server I like to play on too. And right now I don't. Unless you go public. But then I get hacked, ghosted, lootfarmed.... ect.

Also, using logic here:

If just about every server has these things, and just about every player playing DayZ plays DayZ, every player has to join a server. Since there are lack of any servers that don't offer normality, they join the other ones, because they have no choice.

Again, public hives, but public hives are just stressful.

No, I don't want vehicles and all that removed.

Basically, all I want now is a server that runs straight vanilla. No EXTRA vehicles, maybe less, no custom starting gear, and first-person only is great. That's really all I want.

Now, outside of that, I like to play the game a certain way because I have fun like that. As an example, my friend and I met up along the east coast of Chernarus and we took up arms with an enfield and double-barrel. We needed food, and we needed blood. She was passing out, so I had to rush and find a survival knife and an animal, and not be seen because I would be hit and possibly die.

Then after that, we still had something to do. We needed some ammo. We needed more food, more water, better gear. And it drove us. That was fun because I was constantly engaged, and it didn't feel like losing. It felt like surviving. Making with what I had and trying to sustain myself. It was great.

If I could, I would totally revamp DayZ, but that isn't the point. Still, I enjoy the servers that run like Public hives but are private hives and ect, so that really doesn't matter what I would change about it.

That's my vision of this game. What I do. Touch and go, done with one challenge but created 3 more. Always running.
