why does this mod not work ?

im a little bit pissed now...

i've tryed over 3 hours to connect to one dam server but i always spawn on this dam green hills, or can't move or stuck on a black screen.

also the patch to version 1.7 don't work.....

i have copyed all the datas to the right folder but still have version 1.6.8...

how is it possible that others can join a server but i can't ?

Because its an Alpha.

If you're pissed you shouldn't be here, you are here to test for the developpers and no for yourself, when your stuck in the green hills Press RESPAWN, then Abort and then get back in the game, works for me.

If it is still at 1.6.8 something gone wrong and try it manually.

You don't know what you're doing. Yep, its your fault.

Read up a little more. It's cool, some people get confused in this environment.

There are two different experiments at play here.

The base game, Arma II, is leasing beta patches that happen to make the development of this modification work better and allow for more features.

The close numbers between the release number of the base game beta and the dayz alpha files are confusing for some..

Arma II is at vision 1.6.xxxx. You update the base game, and RUN THE BETA EXECUTABLE, NOT THE ORIGINAL GAME EXECUTABLE.

If you make sure that you do that, and then make sure that you have the latest Dayz alpha files, you should be good.

Three things.

Beta Arma files.

Actually running the beta executable.

DayZ latest alpha files.

There are lots of places in these forums for instructions.
