Jaleno 4 Posted May 8, 2012 Note: I am very new to the Arma II scene and even newer to Day Z so pardon my ignorance3 player modelsNewbie: New to the game, hasn't killed anyone or helped anyoneGood Guy: Has only killed bandits and has helped peopleBad Guy(Bandit): has killed Newbies and/or Good GuysI am not aware of the number of character models that can use backpacks but if a system like this was in place it would be much easier to identify friendlies amid the pkers. wnxlions 1 Posted May 8, 2012 I don't see why we would want to segregate 3 different groups of people. The fun part of the game is the level of uncertainty that comes with a survivor or bandit. You never really know who to trust which is exactly what it would be like if this were to really happen. Also it doesn't really help identifying pkers anymore than there already is. Someone can be a bandit from defending themselves so there would still be that level of uncertainty.

I do understand that it would always be difficult to form some sort of trust and that there would be abusers. I for one don't care too much about different character models, but I believe it would help the community a little more in dealing with theses "random killings" based off of just boredom.. wnxlions 1 Posted May 8, 2012 The "Random Killings" are just apart of the game. I read somewhere (can't remember where) of someone suggesting keeping the survivor and bandit models but adding a "ranger" model for the people that have exceptional humanity. I feel that isn't that bad of an idea. It's basically what you are suggesting but in the opposite direction. Instead of painting a giant target on the newbie it's showing everyone that the person with the "ranger" skin is definitely a friendly player.
