Gray Foliage

Recommended Posts

I just recently started playing again after a few months of not playing. I know what the problem is, but I can't completely fix it.

My foliage is gray, not completely gray like I've seen in some posts and screenshots. Its more like sprinkled in snow or covered in white/gray dots. From my understanding its from the AToC settings, but I had it set to 7 before and I didn't experience any problems. Now when I come back to playing I get this rather annoying graphical error. Disabling AToC does nothing and I've messed around with the graphical settings quite a bit, but nothing seems to fix it. If anything it only gets worse.

All my drivers are up to date, as are my Arma2, OA, and DayZ.

Try putting memory on NORMAL and disable AA in the Nvidia control panel.

I probably should have mentioned I have a Radeon HD 7870.

I have my Radeon control panel set so each game or application has its own settings.

Open up CCC and go to Gaming > 3D Application Settings > Anisotropic Filtering.. uncheck "Use application settings" and put the slider to 4x. Apply.

If you're just an average 'plu&play' user, perhaps just set it to the option where the game, itself, chooses the options.

Drunk Guys suggestion isn't wrong or bad..just you may play a game that wont run or run-poorly with those settings.

I know in nVidia's control-panel, you can select each game and their options, individually. Similar for the Catalyst CC? (haven't used ATI since Radeon 9200-series.)
