I think they should get rid of humanaty because the game is ment to be real life just because you kill people does not mean you automaticly have to change clothes games are not meant to be easy or give advantages to the weak because the real world dosent

Translation: I'm a bandit and I'm sick of people shooting my shemagh'ed ass on sight.

No. Who said dayz was trying to be close to real life? It is a zombie game. Just because it is far more realistic then any other zombie games doesn't mean they need it to be as realistic as possible. Its allowed to be gamey. Also sp86 summed it up.

If humanity was taken out then people would KOS and there would NOTHING to stop someone from going "friendly" then shooting you. Always kos bandits. Teach them a lesson because I doubt they had 3-4 incidents of "self defense". This way if i see someone with a towel on their head I know their probably KOS.

I have only been playing for a week, but have yet to have meet another player that did not shoot me on sight. The bandit skin must stay.

I agree that the current "humanity" system is clumsy. And personally I hate the idea of the game determiningi if your actions are "good" or "bad". (I'd rather use the terms "agressive" and "non-agressive".)

But if you want to get rid of humanity as the indicator of your actions then you have to replace it with something else. If it were gone, there would have to be a way for players to at the least recogonise eachother as individuals, so that we can't act in almost total anonimity. This is obviously a lot harder to do than count kills and slap on a turban when the criteria is met.

@OP I'd say you deserve a bright pink shemagh, for being a KoS coward.

I need to get a copy of the mikster thesaurus. It seems you're using "weak" as an antonym for "ignorant".

There are already a lot of promising on-going discussions regarding potential substitutes for the bandit/hero system.

Go flex your lexicon there.

The problem I have with the " I want to do as I like with no consequences " viewpoint , is that this is a game and as such you will play it as a game , and make completely arbitrary and random decisions.

Therefore it should be part of the game , for there to be consequences for your actions , so that when you know you are probably doing something wrong / immoral , you may just have a second thought about what you're about to do .

The bandit skin was removed for a while, the game basically went full deathmatch and everyone wanted it back so guess what happened...

the ONLY people who want the bandit skin gone are players that want to be able to flip/flop on KoS or not without consequence..

i say to hell with those people. if you are a KoS player, everyone deserves to know it.

Ditto. And I add that I'm completely okay with people banditing, but there have to be consequences.
