Character keeps reseting on public hive

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I'm getting back into DayZ after a couple month hiatus, but I've come across a (in my humble opinion) game breaking bug.

Over the past two days I have had all my gear, kill count, everything reset out of no where. This has happend three times now (Chernaus Map). Every time I have logged out safely in a bush laying prone in the middle of the wilderness. Then when I log back in, I hear the depressing sound of the ocean, only to find myself completely reset.

I use DayZ Commander, and every thing is up to date, all servers I go on are official public hive. My brother has had the same thing happen to him too.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Any ways to fix this? I'm not looking to get my gear back, just trying to see if anyone knows how to prevent this from happening.

Thanks!

You DEFINITELY have the 'official hive' option selected in DZC ? There are more unofficial Chernarus hives than official ones nowadays, and it's easy to mistakenly connect to the wrong kind.

This has happened to me multiples times as well. I have "Hide Unofficial" checked in DayZ Commander. This even happened when I went back to the SAME server with no other joins inbetween.

I joined US 1990, then rejoined it an hour later and was on the coast.
