Connerthebro 0 Posted December 18, 2012 Hey I've been having a lot of trouble running this game lately, I'm not too sure of what is wrong with it. I will be able to play at 25 FPS for about 30 seconds and then it just gets bogged down to like 6-10 FPS, and this makes the game almost unplayable.Specshttp://www.newegg.co...#scrollFullInfoOS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-BitCPU: Intel Core i7-2670QM 2.2GHz, 6MB L3 CacheMemory Size: 12GB DDR3, 4GB x 3Hard Disk: 750GBGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M 1.5GBI purchased ARMA II in August and started playing the mod then, I had some slowdowns then too but I don't ever remember them being this bad, at least the game was semi playable. I can play Battlefield 3 on High without any FPS spikes.Black Ops 2 on ExtraThis is the tempurature for Black Ops 2It's also the tempurature that DayZ runs at. This is my graphics settings in MSI Afterburner as well as Kombuster.I don't have screenshots of FPS spikes for DayZ but I went from 35-40 down to 6-10 FPS.This is the graphical settings I have for DayZI know that it is a Laptop which is why I play on this Cooler Master laptop pad.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997872&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-NA-_-NAI'm going to reapply Thermal Paste and use some compressed air to get any dust out.Any help at all would be very much appreicated. I love this game and I really want to be able to play it the way it's supposed to be.
hollenfeuer88 124 Posted December 18, 2012 I have:Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHzNvidia 8800 gtx6 GB DDR2 RAMand I get about 20-30 fps, it slows down in Cherno/Electro. My ping goes from 80-90 to about 150-200 in those towns, so I think its ping lag. Point is, it will either work or it won't XD thats just how this game is. Farcry 3 seems to be that way for some people too, I am just under ultra and have no issues, but people with super computers are complaining about lag lol. My advise is be a minimalist. I only have about 30-40 processes going, and no anti virus. If its not needed I turn that crap off. Oh and since you have a laptop, try and get rid of bloatware. Also unless you really know what you are doing, I would not open that thing up. By the looks of things it can't be to old, the thermal paste should still be okay. SmokeyFTM 55 Posted December 19, 2012 Change video memory to default, disable postprocess effects and make your 3D resolution the same as the resolution above. The main problem by the looks of your settings is the video memory should be set to default. Hope it works
