restart while in a chopper?

Hey guys , was flying yesterday and the server restarted with like a 30 second warning and i did not have chance to land the chopper, Some people say that its crashes and is gone and you spawn under it, others say it goes back to where you last saved it. Im on a server where everything saves when you log out, so my question is.

Earlier before the server restarted i had logged out to take a break and then came back in, what are the chances the chopper will be where i took that break?

not too bothered about loosing it, just dont wanna run off into the far eat wilderness of the map for no reason?

Every time it has happened to me it has crashed and I have restarted on the ground. Sometimes near it, sometimes on the ground directly below where I was at the restart and the chopper was where it would have crashed if the engine had cut off.

Hey thats for the info. Ive had a look round and cant see any wreckage or better still an intact chopper, was only a few feet off the ground lol.

just 500 m away from where i last logged out with it before the reset, not holding out any hopes but we shall see.

today in a namalsk server i found a fully functional chopper and asked on global if anybody had one.there were only two other people on the server so after a little chat in global i decided to take it (i was going to take it anyway) and then this weird event took place :

i thought it was a hack or server restart (maybe forced restart) , but it happened to me about 40 minutes later (whilst on the ground) in another namalsk server.seemed odd.

i blacked out (sand timer image) and came to in the chopper just hovering - i had no control, over my character (no buttons would respond) and i thought my account was being hacked or something so i force logged out.

then changed my pants.

Your character regains consciousness after about 20 seconds but takes a little damage in the process. Its called an EVR event and its a deliberate addition to the game. You need to find a protection device to stop its effects on your character. Interesting to see your video as I was wondering what would happen if you were flying a heli during an EVR
