You can create your own private DayZ server with your computer and add things to the map that you need, as well as inviting friends to it.

Apparently not. We've tried quite a few ways of making our own private server, pretty much ended in catastrophe. if you have a tutorial, I'd love to see it. Everything we've seen requires another hosted PC with a second copy of ArmA 2/OA.

If you can PM me with information, that would be helpful.

My friend and fellow member of Balota Buddies, dHuynh has self-hosted private servers for us when making movies. You could message him on the forums and ask if he could create one for your machinima. (I think last I spoke to him he said he was having problems with the server today, but nothing he can't fix.)
