Arma performance issues

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

So i recently upgraded my system with GTX 650 (non Ti). Before I had HD 3850 and I was playing DayZ in around 20 FPS. With this new GTX 650 I get up to 10, if I'm lucky enough I get 20FPS. What could posibbly cause this?

My specs are:

Phenom X4 9500 @2.21GHz (should be good enough with 4 cores for cpu sentric game i think)

4Gb of RAM

GTX 650 (non Ti)

How ever it is, it should give me more frames then the same system with old GPU don't you think?

First off, youre cpu might be a quadcore(low clocked), but its old and is not really a good cpu for Arma 2.

Arma 2 needs a fairly new quadcore to handle the game well, i think youre old cpu is what causes the low frames.

Old tech cpu (AM2) , old ram DDR2, not easy to get Arma 2 to run smooth on that hardware.

Maybe some overclocking of the cpu/ram will help(if youre motherboard allow it), and make sure you download the most resent driver for youre graphic card, direct from nVidias website http://www.nvidia.co...aspx?lang=en-us

I do understand that my CPU is old, but come'on it is not older then the game is?:) And again how come I had more FPS with older graphics card (HD 3850)? My drivers are up to date.
