Kicked From Server

Hello everyone, I've got a slight problem on my non-steam version of Arma 2 CO which is fully updated. I've installed all of the DayZ files in my Arma2 directory - @dayz - Addons and activated it in-game. This is when the trouble begins. When I join any DayZ server it will load and the automatically kick me from the game. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I too have had this problem for the past two days. Retail Arma 2, Steam OA, properly combined to CO. Followed every single guide, and no matter what I try, beta patch or no patch, I will be kicked from DayZ servers within seconds. Quite aggravating.

Same here. There is a "uses a modified data file.." notification with the official expansions as offenders and then an autokick out of the lobby.

I have a steam OA and non-steam arma 2. They have been working properly in combined ops mode before.

Things I have tried:

- Patch Arma 2

- Reinstall battleye from steam

- get the latest battleye client dll file and drop it into the battleye folder in arma2

- Made double sure that all mod files are present. Tried both the @dayz mod activation method and dropping the mod files into the general addons folder.

Things I am yet to try:

Erase all my arma stuff and reinstall. This is a last resort as it will be a hell of a bother to do with all my existing configs, mods, maps and such.

Any insight is appreciated, especially from the ones who got this working after the autokick problem.

Ugh erase all your attempts and follow my guide you can find in the troubleshooting section. Its called new users with problems check here. If you follow all the steps I am 100% sure it will work. It guides trough all the possible combinations off the 2 games (like retail with steam) make sure too erase all attempts before you start. Good luck

Yeah, I've read your post and made sure I haven't missed any steps in your instructions yesterday already so *UGH*, obviously your way isn't 100% certain. Just because you got the mod working with the simple instructions posted everywhere doesn't mean that there can't be anything else wrong somewhere.

It is 100% certain if you follow them, and no I did need any fucking help at all installing the mod, I have had the original arma and arma2 and OA. I have had arma2 and OA since their release dates. I used my method for 4 irl friends, without any problems, and I came up with the method on my own. The guide covers all the problems I have encounterd with the game myself and what I helped my friends with. This method worked for every mod I played including ACE, TCG, DAYZ, and many more.

If it doesnt work and you are sure that you followed every step then either you did not create the dayz mod folder in the OA folder, or you are missing one off the dlc's. Incase you are using the shortcut, do not do it untill you got the mod working, instead lauch OA (not CO) and go to expansions and enable day z and arma 2. If either or both of those do not show in the list, then you did not do it correctly and you missed a step. There is no way that there is still a problem if they both show enabled in the list.

i have arma 2 demo and arma 2 OA both from steam and it works, i recommend you download sixupdater and use that

I would not recommend doing that lance, as it will be more unstable and entire chernarus will be low res. If you have a weak computer that might be good, but if you want to play on high settings you should always buy arma2

i've been doing it for almost 2 weeks now, havent had any stability problems and res looks fine... so not sure where your getting your info from

Demo has way lower res then normal arma 2, And this res diffrence can make the game unstable. Source: me playing arma games since arma 1.

well, looks identical to every youtube video ive seen, so probably wont spend any money on arma 2

Oh come on soeg, I doubt there's any need to play the juvenile "I've played this game since.." game to try and gain some sort of community cred. I played the OP flashpoint demo before the game came out, bought it on day1 and have been playing BIS games ever since. I also have glasses with thick black rims so I clearly outrank you in arma seniority ;)

Now, considering things that might actually be helpful. I went to my last resort scenario yesterday and deleted my old installations of arma2 and OA, and reinstalled everything. That did the trick and I've managed to get in the games without being autokicked. I'm pretty sure the issue is in the validation of some of the modules. My installation was old with patches upon patches, so something might have broken during the past years.

Now, I haven't reinstalled british forces or PMC yet, so if the problem returns when I do, it might be that the steam versions of those modules are not validated properly or something to that effect.
