Hi all, firstly, a big thank to you for taking your time to read my post and if possible prodived me with some solution.

I just start installed arma 2 one week ago and play day z for a few days, however, each time im unable to save my game which i have to continue from the start.

1) How can i save my game? or did i went into the wrong server?

2) Which server should i go? im from gmt +8

your help will be greatly appreciated.

The best thing you can do it use DayZ Commander to launch the game. It has many features for downloading and updating the mods and maps. It also has a recent tab that lets you see what servers you have been on so that you can play on them again. If you are playing on private servers you will have to start over on each new server so it would be good to know which servers you have played on so you can go back to them and not have to start over each time.

thank alot. i will download this commander launcher. currently using aramholic launcher which i saw ppl using it in youtube.

can i check with you, how should i know is it an official server or a private server?

do you know of any server around the timezone of GMT +8?

Private servers, or 'hives' have a cloudlike icon next to the name of the server.

Hi Waity, welcome to the forums! Are you sure you're game isn't saving? Is it possible that you are joining different servers? If they're a different hive then you will start a new life on each server. :beans:

What Sula says only goes for Private Hives. Public Hives will carry your character from one server to another without a problem. Private Hives will start a new character and save it to that one specific server. Pay attention to server you join to find out if it´s Public or Private.
