1.7.1 is a joke...

you seriously need to fix the agro range even when ur crawling or prone and walking they aggro you from like miles away -_- as well as getting one bandage no gun and when they look at you and you bleed i mean come on seriously..

Also you should fix the problem were when you try to put something in the backpack it deletes it instead of just saying it wont fit..

Add like a party thing so you know who the hell ur rolling with instead of running into someone thinking its your ally and you get blasted..

There's no point complaining about the difficulty, either current or pending. High difficulty and easy death are key features of DayZ, don't like it? don't play DayZ.

Besides this is alpha, they are bound to try all sorts of balancing changes and mechanics. We're basically just along for the ride whilst they test and develop the mod, so there is no point taking changes too seriously at this stage, its all testing.

Maybe we should all spawn with broken legs, bleeding, and no bandages then?

The game was already damn hard. Imo, the agro range is way too large.

Currently the aggro range is pretty forgiving, and if you're crawling you may as well be invisible. This makes the game very easy, if a little tedious as you have to crawl anywhere near buildings or risk aggro.

As for 1.7.1, well we haven't played it yet, so lets see what its like and then form an opinion.

And for your first sentence, well there's no need for sarcasm, not every game has to be easy, sure that means not everyone will like DayZ but there are plenty who like it because of the difficulty.

Even then it really isn't that difficult at the moment, once you have some experience playing the game its actually pretty damn easy to survive, it only gets harder when you go into common PvP areas like cherno/elekro/stary/airfields etc.

i have yet to try the 1.7.1 update but the people asked for more zombie gore and i see it is there, be careful what you wish for i guess.

going from the feedback this level seems to be what people actually asked for.

Yes. Agreed this update is a joke. Everything is Good about the Updates. Except the Zombies Range and Strength

The main thing that upsets me at DayZ is that zombies are too good. Zombies are supposed to walk, not run, and they die only if are shot in the head. If this will be done in DayZ will be a great thing.

Spidergeo - they aren't zombies they are infected. if they were zombies they would require headshots.

Also, this seems more like a general discussion thread and less of a suggestion.

But if zombies could be killed easily and managed with little risk then they would cease to be a threat. For this game to work the zombies need to be a genuine threat at all times regardless of your equipment, otherwise its just a turkey shoot.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm liking it. It is ALMOST a challenge now. Before I could crouch walk in daylight, sometimes even walking normally. Easy peesy. On my first spawn with the new patch (my guy tripped on a rock, broke a leg, and bled to death in 3 seconds), I managed to run from the coast all the way back to the NW airfield, stopping at all the grocery stores on the way up.

Seriously, how hard is it? Run in one door, loot, run out the other exit... or shoot them as they wander in one at a time. I've managed to lose zombies running through houses, in forests ducking around tree's. I'm enjoying the new mechanics.

EDIT: The only thing I don't like, is that the zombies spawning in buildings don't wander out yet, and a lot of them spawn in walls (hitting you through them when you get close, or flat out glitching out and dog piling you).
