DayZ not working?

Hi, I downloaded Arma 2: Combined Operations off Steam, and I mainly downloaded it just to play DayZ. When I first went on it I tried to join a DayZ server but it wasn't working, it was saying about version at the bottom right. It said my version was something like 6.92 and the required was 6.92.985115 or around that. I don't know that this is about, but when I got one that actually let me click on it it said something about files and then a lot of random stuff just popped up. I have fully deleted the game now, uninstalled and all files in [steamapps] are gone to do with Arma 2, how do I install DayZ on steam and which links do I click? I also just checked the minimum requirements and I've got them all.

Google DayZ Commander and have it install DayZ for you. Arma doesn't automatically include DayZ.

if you bought arma 2 combined operations:

Install/Download Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead

Start each once. Just let the games get to main menu and quit again.

Install/Download DayZ Commander.

Start DayZ Commander.

Install the latest Arma 2 Beta patch.

Install the latest DayZ version or install the other DayZ maps.

Fnd a server and play. Simple.
