Hosted DayZ Servers

OK first off:

I have no money interest in any of the server hosts.

When I wanted a DayZ server I read a bunch, looked at what each had, what they cost and what folks have said about them.

I will NOT bash any hosts in this post, however, what I found is if you want ‘cheap’ you have many choices – however, you still get ‘cheap’

I have now had my hosted server for about four (4) months. Yes I’ve ran in to some problems, yes I have been out of the server business for ten (10) years and had to relearn a lot.

Coming to the point though:

I do pay more per month per slot.

But I get my questions answered by staff that knows servers and knows DayZ configurations.

They know what can and cannot be done and will answer and if needed explain their answer. I have never had to wait more than overnight for a reply/answer.

To me the extra headaches from ‘cheap’ hosts is not worth what little I would save per month.

My hat goes off to Sam and all the folks at xstreamgaming – they have servers in the UK and stateside.
