Tactic Help: How to Takedown Four Survivors?

the server i play on a lot has some interesting settings. loot and gear spawn real slow. maybe once an hour, possibly even less. it makes for a server that is all in all pretty friendly. many times have i found people to run without easily.

however, i also has made that which they have on them a lot more valuable. sure, i could go and get a alice pack easily on most servers. but, on this one they are kind of hard to get. killing someone for their stuff is more sensible.

so, the other night i was running with four others. the level of armament was ak/m-16. not endgame weapons, but decent. and of the five of us we have little food, little drink. i was armed with the m-16 203. i had one smoke grenade, one frag grenade and three mags. i kept trying to figure out when and where would be the best time to try to take them out.

would getting them all in a building, dropping the frag, followed by the smoke and then the mags be enough to take them out before they were able to stop me?

i welcome thoughts on other options to take out multiple allies/foes.

not a problem.

and i would say assaulting four survivors with assault rifles is likely a hypothetical. that is a lot of dudes to take out. just the entire time i was running around with them i was wondering how to try.

Well judging from your equipment that seems to be the safest best bet. Though i'd suggest making sure they don't have much room to maneuver. Maybe walk into one of the smaller towns and suggest one of the smaller houses that don't have any exits besides the main one with the group and position yourself at the door. Throw the smoke grenade run out throw the frag and keep the door covered with your assault rifle. The frag would at least injure all of them. and any escapees would be gunned down as they attempted to exit. I've actually seen this strategy used somewhere, i just can't remember where lol

get them close, aim for the heads, and do it fast.

i befriended 4 guys and we all were heading to the NWAF. we all had decent loot relatively similar to the things you mentioned.

To my luck one of the guys found a DMR in a barrack and called it out to us. this brought the other three in for a quick inspection.

6 or 7 controlled shots to their heads was the end of all that. but i would say a smoke may help with the confusion factor. if i had a frag that would have been all it took.

If I were you I would get them into a sticky situation with zombies. Perposefully aggro large amounts of zombies and while they are being swarmed and shooting zombies, step back and when they are soon to reload pop one of em. Say "sorry I missed the zombie and hit you" and watch him die as the others get swarmed trying to save him. Once everyone is all around the dying fellow trying to save him, pop dat 40mm HE round in der then finish off with your M16. Chances are you will knock a few out with the 40mm, maybe even kill one or two. But you need to follow through quickly before they know what hit em. Empty the clip into the crowd then reload. If someone is still alive, finish him.
