I just downloaded Dayz today, ive had Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead for a while but I just haven't gotten around to downloading Day z, I tried running it through six shooter multiple times but when I did it would always tell me I needed to confirm that I had permission to access a file and it would end from there. So from there I downloaded Dayz Commander, and I got in and I can see servers but when I click on one it will load for a bit then take me to the Arma 2 game menus. I don't know what to do please help.

Make sure you have correctly installed the game. Using DayZCommander, click on "Install/update". Ensure that DayZCommander is up to date. Then, proceed to update your ARMA II Beta patch. After that, update DayZ. Optionally, update whichever map you are trying to connect to (Though you should update them all, simply because it's easy to.) and connect to a map running the correct version (You can hide incorrect servers in the filters).

when you update your beta version via dayzcommander, try to paste the launcher of arma2 beta patch(expansion beta folder) in your arma2 main folder
