here's my suggestions for the current state of the mod.

1) combat mode to be extended to zombie aggro.

when you have aggro from one or more zombies, combat mode is activated, and like already added to the changelog of 1.7.5 on pvp combat log, character will be replaced with a bot that can be killed by zombies, unless saved by another player.

2) human body's save position and loot so they will reappear after server restart.

no longer random despawn of human bodies and zombies.

unless hidden by another player, player bodies disappear after 1 week.

3) zombies devour dead players.

when zombies killed a player or stumble upon a dead player, they will devour the corpse, taking like 15 minutes, more or less depending how many zombies involved.

these zombies will then drop random smaller items from the loot,

a fully devoured body will leave behind some blood (maybe bones?) and the remaining loot cluttering in the vicinity.

hopefully that can be saved over restart for one week as well, but i fear it's gonna eat alot of ressources...

4) flies

a hidden human body will no longer attract flies.

a devoured human body will attract less flies.

the remains of a devoured body can be hidden.

5) Zombie spawn

On top of zombies spawning in towns, they will also spawn randomly in the woods. they tend to crowd up and wander accross the map.

Maybe the number of zombies spawning in towns can be lowered to compensate ressources.

no despawning dead bodies for a week, you must hate people on low-med end systems

hiding player corpses is always a good advice, last but not least to prevent infections spreading, but also to leave no clues about your presence.

Nice suggestions dude. I always wondered whether zeds were actually trying to eat you or just kill you.

I suppose that's a matter for the SA story tellers.

One thing though. I don't think a week is a particularly reasonable time-frame to keep bodies. Wouldn't that just kill servers? There will be a LOT of unhidden and uneaten corpses lying about.

Maybe a couple of hours is more managable, but it would still have to be limited to one player body per player. (if you die again, only your newest body remains)

its all depending on how much ressources do i need, and how much can i spare.

if the feature is to expensive in ressources i need to decide whether or not it's worth it to cut on something else.

i'm just the guy with the idea. the decission if and how it's feasible is up to rocket and the community dev's.

the week just first came to mind, loosely based on that it takes longer then just a few hours for a human body to decay.

but i'm happy with a day, or 2 hours, just a reasonable set amount of time, so i have a chance to get back to my body

and get my stuff back in case of death, and not struggle my way back there, just to find out it just randomly disappeared.
