can't join a game it won't load at waiting for players, please help.

whenever i pick a game to join it will start loading on the screen (Waiting for players) but it won't load to the point of that severs lobby. I paid 20 dollars for this game and it worked the first few times then started doing that. I think i might have missed an update or something or a new version. Thank you.
