Customizable Body types!

Recommended Posts

I think in the standalone DayZ you should be able to choose how heavy/light you are and what your body is like, so a player could have a really light body that can't be heard as easily, or could be extremely heavy and strong so they can carry around large weapons like (And this may be going a bit far here but...) miniguns and be able to push cars or pick up objects to be used as weapons, or even pick up people and throw them around! Body type could also change how you could fight with Your Fists which I also think could be great to add to the game, having an advanced hand to hand combat system with different martial arts and techniques. Anyway, I'm just putting it out there. Thanks for reading! (If you did that is)

There are already some other topics in this area.

I like the idea, it would help to identify silhouettes of your buddies so you can pick them out of a crowd.

You have to realise, people will find a "min/max" way to exploit any customisation you give them if there's any benefit to doing so.

We might end up with heavy-set wrestler / midgets running all over the place.

This is very true, yes, but yer i was thinking that maybe having a heavy body type would obviously make you slower and have less stamina, but of course give you the ability to throw things around etc, whereas being lighter would make you way faster and more agile, allowing you to jump over most objects and outrun zombies.
