For cheap skates; how to save 10 bucks. (Steam)

Recommended Posts

For cheapskates like me, I can save you 10 bucks. You only have to get Operation Arrowhead (19.99).

There is a game called ARMA II: Free. It is basically ARMA II, but does not enable good graphics, no campaign, and a few other things. Steam took it off (it was listed as ARMA II's demo for some reason) and you can no longer download it. There is a work around, you can directly download it from here: (Please note you can not open this by clicking on it, open a new tab and copy and paste it into the address bar)

steam://install/107400

Now download that, then buy OA. Now follow this guide: (PLEASE NOTE: This guide is not mine, it is Kodabar's. Credit to him.)

Bogulez, only if you want to stop DayZ working! Arma 2's Operation Arrowhead is necessary for the game to run.

No more sale though, is there?

The Christmas sale is always ridiculous. It's pretty much the same as we just had with new deals every day and flash sales where stuff is like 75% off for a few hours.

It's actually worth not buying many games all year and then just getting a tonne in the autumn/Christmas sales.

Thanks for the reply but I'm just asking about uninstalling Arma II Free after the files have been copied.

I would not consider removing OA.

Not sure what you mean, sorry. If you copy the files to your hard disk and then uninstall them they won't be on your hard disk anymore. I'm confused, sorry!
