Hey. I'm The Bishop and I am looking for a clan/group to show me the ropes of Dayz. This isn't just for a week or two and then I up and leave you either, if you put the work in it will be a good investment.

Mic: I have TS3 and a good mic

Timezone: EST, 1pm - 5pm and 3am-5am, plus weekends are my times since I work nights

Dayz Exp: Been playing for a few days

Skills: I am a decent shot, but I am really good and getting lost in the woods and having hackers shoot me in the face... haha

Also, I have studied military tactics and counter terrorism in college. These might come in handy with handling situations with other players/groups.

There are already many, many clans out there looking for recruits. Have a browse of the forums and just give them your required details. It's a much easier way to find a clan which can relate to the playstyle in which you want.

Rammfisch - It is true that there a ton of posts from clans already up, but a good recruiter doesn't sit in his office all day either. This way while I am looking posts over someone from a clan will have the same oppurtunity to take a peak at me. This just adds a new avenue of contact or exposure for all involved. Thanks for the luck though, too bad I didn't have any for the powerball drawing...

I think that is plain wrong, and based on hugely mistaken prevailing assumptions. It is like it is new people that have the duty of looking for a clan, while the clan sits there and doesnt give a damm for individual´s threads (especially new players`). In fact, Ive made a thread offering to be recruted and noticed that very few clans reply (or noone). Well, I think they should reply more to this types of posts and actively invite people if they are willing to grow. That makes them more attractive. If they don´t really do that as much as they should ( and they don´t) that´s a pure manifestation of arrogance and lazyness. You see lots of power-trippers posting their new clans threads, and notice that most of them or their peers are too lazy to even browse trough the first 2 pages of this forums and post some invitements. In their big power trip their new-born 3 pple clan already thinks it is a big company that YOU have to beg to be let into, and its not THEM that have to invite. Like I said, that is out of lazyness plus arrogance and that is wrong, But in fact this is what happens. And a new player is 1000000 times entitled to post a thread like this here. In fact, that´s the FIRST thing he should do.
