Is it just me or does it seem like hacking is up in the past week?

It used to be that I would have a problem with hackers maybe a few times a night. I swear the past few days its seems like a full on assault all night long, with having videos spammed, players being remote controlled, players being thunderdomed, teleported everywhere, hackers spawning boxes and then crashing the server etc with at least one hacker every half an hour it feels like.

I have all the log files possible. Gotcha and even constant monitoring for hours a night. Maybe it was the Thanksgiving Steam sale on Arma 2? Seriously starting to wonder why I bother to have a public server anymore. :(

Think you just were Unlucky , we only had 2 hacker the whole week on our Server. (It´s also monitored and so on...)

But i have to say i didn´t died to hackres about 2 weeks now.

Yeah, I am too having issues with hackers over on the server I'm admin on.

Can I see some of the logs? Have you caught anyone? I would like to know what to look for so I can ban them.

EDIT: We actually had like 200+ vehicles spawned in on the server by a hacker. Our server kept crashing. We had it off for about 2 days trying to fix it.

Yes, updated bypasses started coming up in the last week so there was a lot of hacking.

Luckily, BE updated to 1.184 and busted most of them now

I caught, banned and reported to the community ban list 21 hackers in a 6 hour window last night on my server. Some of the things that happened: teleporting players, throwing players in the air, spawning A-10s and bombing the crap out of people, playing the video on GPS telling everyone they are gay, remote controlling and seizing control of players while they are playing, spawning boxes and then crashing the server to cover their tracks .. among other crap. DayZ staff.. you really should think about maybe beefing up security a bit before the next Steam sale. Its like hackers paradise and I am putting in at least 30 hours a week going through logs and dealing with this... hell I am lucky lately if I can play for longer than 20 minutes before having to disconnect to deal with some crap in Rcon.

tonight the hacker presence is smaller, about half a dozen so far.

I love the game and I want to make a nice place for people to play. But.. this is trying even my patience.
