Adapting spawn rates

At the moment all items have a fixed spawnrate, with time this means that the amount of high tier weaponry will increase at a steady pace even without duping. Now, if standalone is to implement the degradation of weapons, or maybe thats just a rumor, who knows, i think the spawn rates should adapt to the amount of weapons that already exist in the world.

As in if no AS-50s exist in the hive, the spawn rate would be increased, and as they become more numerous the spawn rate starts dropping which would lead to the amount of guns dropping which would again increase the rate, this would keep the amount of high tier guns steady instead of everyone carrying them, and technically would be realistic, as if lots of those guns have been taken obviously theres less of them left!

But that leads to the situation that tons of high tier weapons exist stockpiled throughout the hive.

you're right. if everyone is running around with a very high tier weapon, then we must logically assume that the local high tier weaponry has been looted already. changing the spawn rates like you said actually supports authenticty, as well as immersion. just dont let the spawn rate actually hit 0 and maybe dont actually have an increase occur (no higher than default spawn rate) because it will not take long for the default rate to populate the world.

also to address 2 inevitable issues...

1. yes high grade weapons are mass produced and stockpiled. are they stockpiled in chernarsus by the thousands? i dont know but it isnt logical to assume that so probably not.

2. a team of players manages to loot/steal all the high grade weapons and now they are sitting on them all in their camp. well... good for them, they have earned their alpha spot. but now they are a target for other players of all factions. and all empires crumble eventually, so that is a temporary issue. (its actually immersive and awesome if you ask me)

so...

If a clan manages to get hold of a lot of high tier weaponry their treasure receives the value it should have.

Na, keep it as it is and add decay to weapons. Like 100/200 shots and you need scrap metal to fix it.

If I even had a gun that broke in 100-200 shots, I would even be mad. I'd be amazed that they ever made a gun like that.
