Can never join a game..

It always just stops on "receiving data" or one of those loading screens and goes back to the server list.

I downloaded DayZ with the six-updater.

EDIT: When I join servers it says my battleye initialization failed, maybe this is causing the problems, how do I fix it?

I am in the same boat as you. I get to 3/4 of "Receiving Data" and it just sends me back to the server list. Installed CO from steam and followed the direction via the install guide. I.E. - Ran both games once' date=' installed the updater, let than run and update, checked that the files unpacked to the right Steam folder. Either I am missing something or there is a bug. I've got the same problem. I recently re-installed ArmA to play this mod, so I'm on a clean install. I do not recall this happening with this frequency when I was more active in ArmA last year.

It might be a server thing because I got on and I didn't change anything.

I was getting "BattlEye initialization failed" error, but i managed to fix it by creating a "BattlEye" folder in both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2:OA folders including inside the folders the latest BattlEye.dll downloaded from http://www.battleye.com

(I don't remember where i learned this fix, but i swear it worked at least for me)

The latest BETA PATCH from ARMA 2 also fixed the "Retrying to authenticate" error that was happening very often.
